12 new COVID-19 cases reported in Santa Barbara Co.

Santa Barbara County reported 12 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the county's total to 526 as of May 4.

Health officials say 39 people are hospitalized, including 13 patients who are in the ICU.

Another 65 people are recovering at home and 404 are fully recovered.

Santa Barbara County has had eight deaths attributed to COVID-19.

A state-operated coronavirus testing site will be open to the community starting Tuesday at the Santa Maria Fairpark. County health officials say additional sites will be open in Lompoc and Santa Barbara later in the week.
