San Luis Obispo County reported 24 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the county's total to 1,926 confirmed cases as of August 4.
Seventeen people are hospitalized, including five patients who are in the ICU.
Another 300 people are recovering at home and 1,590 people have recovered.
San Luis Obispo County has had a total of 16 deaths attributed to COVID-19.
Health officials say visitors to California's online COVID-19 dashboard may notice different numbers. They say that's because issues with the state's electronic laboratory reporting system have resulted in an under-reporting of positive cases.
COVID-19 tests are currently available to the public in Grover Beach and San Luis Obispo.
