63 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Santa Barbara Co.

Santa Barbara County reported 63 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the county's total to 2,509 confirmed cases as of June 23.

Of that total, 990 cases are inmates at the federal prison in Lompoc. Only nine of those cases are currently considered active.

Of the cases in the community, 61 people are currently hospitalized, including 19 patients who are in the ICU.

Another 176 people are recovering at home and 1,032 people have recovered.

Santa Barbara County is reporting a total of 27 COVID-19 related deaths.

Health officials say 35,495 coronavirus tests have been conducted in the county so far.

Three coronavirus testing sites are open to the community in Santa Barbara County. They are located at the Santa Maria Fairpark in Santa Maria, the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara and at 1745 Mission Drive in Solvang.
