81 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Santa Barbara Co.

Santa Barbara County reported 81 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the county's total to 2,590 confirmed cases as of June 24.

Of that total, 992 cases are inmates at the federal prison in Lompoc. Only seven of those cases are currently considered active.

Of the cases in the community, 57 people are currently hospitalized, including 20 patients who are in the ICU.

Another 176 people are recovering at home and 1,077 people have recovered.

Santa Barbara County is reporting a total of 27 COVID-19 related deaths.

Health officials say 36,133 coronavirus tests have been conducted in the county so far.

Three coronavirus testing sites are open to the community in Santa Barbara County. They are located at the Santa Maria Fairpark in Santa Maria, the Earl Warren Showgrounds in Santa Barbara and at 1745 Mission Drive in Solvang.
