A second employee at the Santa Maria Juvenile Hall has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Santa Barbara County Probation Department.
Last week, the county reported that one staff member and four youth had tested positive for the coronavirus.
Officials said the positive youth were transferred to a medical living unit within the facility, and all youth and staff were being tested.
There are 26 youth currently housed at Juvenile Hall, according to the Probation Department.
