The Central Coast Renaissance Festival has been canceled for the 2020 season.
The annual event would have been held July 18-19 at Laguna Lake Park in San Luis Obispo.
The organizers say they were notified by the San Luis Obispo City Parks Department on Wednesday that the festival would need to be canceled due to the pandemic and social distancing requirements.
This would have been the 36th year for the festival, which typically attracts about 5,000 attendees and 1,000 participants and vendors.
Organizers are now planning the next festival to be held July 17-18, 2020.
