A patient hospitalized for months with COVID-19 at Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton is now home.
The hospital's medical director says the patient's case was one of the toughest COVID-19 cases they've treated.
Officials say the person was hospitalized for several months and during that time, the hospital staff, patient and family got very close.
Dr. Irene Spinello, medical director of critical care at Twin Cities, said Friday's release was one of the happiest days in her professional career.
The hospital was unable to comment on how many COVID-19 patients they are currently treating.
