Four new cases of COVID-19 reported in SLO County; total now 131

San Luis Obispo County health officials are reporting four new cases of COVID-19 Saturday afternoon, bringing the total up to 131 cases in the county.

Out of the 131 confirmed cases, officials say 110 patients -- or nearly 84 percent of patients -- have recovered from the virus in San Luis Obispo County.

Health officials say nearly 13 percent of these cases are recovering at home. There are three patients recovering in the hospital, two of whom are in the intensive care unit.

The county has reported one COVID-19-related death.

More than half of these cases are located in north county, while about 28 percent are in south county, approximately 12 percent are in central county and about eight percent are on the coast, according to local health officials.

The San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department said it has conducted 833 COVID-19 tests so far, 48 of which came out positive. Eighty-four COVID-19 cases were detected at private labs.
