Kreuzberg, Batch and Kraken Coffee Company close doors, employees laid off

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to impact sales, more and more business owners are faced with difficult decisions.

Kreuzberg California owner James Whitaker and cafe manager Corinn Gallo, posted signs on businesses doors notifying customers of their decision to close down and lay off employees.

The note read, "The health of our staff, our community, our kids and parents weighs heavy on our minds. We are committed to rebuilding Kreuzberg, Batch and Kraken-- better than ever. See you on the other side."

They are the latest company to let go employees. Before the closure, they were offering to-go orders.

Kreuzberg is located on Higuera Street and Batch is located on Broad in downtown San Luis Obispo.

Kraken Coffee Co. is located in a highly visible corner spot along Avila Beach’s main shopping area that was formerly Joe Momma’s Coffee and in Pismo Beach next to the pier.
