Santa Barbara County Public Health's mobile COVID-19 testing unit is now parked and administered tests in Lompoc.
The large bus is parked at Ryon Park, 800 w. Ocean Ave.
Patients will register at tents. Then, they proceed to the testing stations. Patients walk up to an elevated platform where a window opens to a test administrator inside. The administrator then directs the patient who conducts a self-administered test.
“We are happy to report the mobile testing site will now be supporting our Mid County Region with an additional testing opportunity in the City of Lompoc.” We are navigating our way through this surge in cases, and testing is still an important piece in slowing the spread of the virus,” says Van Do-Reynoso, Santa Barbara County Public Health Director.
COVID-19 tests will be administered between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday thru Friday for at least the next two weeks.
