Winifred Pifer Elementary School in Paso Robles is currently closed because of a recent increase in COVID-19 cases.

The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District (PRJUSD) says all classes have transitioned back to distance learning for now.

Deep cleaning of the campus is expected to begin on Monday.

The school campus is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

PRJUSD Superintendent Curt Dubost says the school district is planning to be ready to expand in-person instruction at all grade levels as soon as San Luis Obispo County moves into the red tier.
