The Pismo Beach Pier is now closed.
The City posted on its Facebook Wednesday that the decision to close the pier was based off it becoming too difficult to ensure social distancing.
While the beach remains open, the City says it’s only to be used for short walks or surfing, adding social distancing will be enforced.
Meters in all City-owned parking lots are also being changed to one-hour only to help with compliance.
