Positive COVID-19 cases prompted the closure of two Lompoc Starbucks locations this week.
A Starbucks representative tells KSBY News they learned an employee at the N. H Street store and another at the Ocean Avenue location received positive COVID-19 test results.
Deep cleaning is being done at the locations and Starbucks says those who tested positive or who were determined to have been in close contact with the affected staff were told to self-isolate.
Due to limited staffing, the stores were closed.
The H Street location will reportedly re-open Thursday and the Ocean Avenue store will re-open Friday.
Starbucks says both locations will be staffed by employees who were not in close contact with those who tested positive.
Another Lompoc business, Florianos Mexica Food, announced on Facebook Monday it would be closing due to a positive COVID-19 employee case there.
Co-owner Antonio Rodriguez said the decision was made so that staff could be tested.
Rodriguez adds that the business will reopen once results are received and it’s determined safe to do so.
Lompoc has recorded 159 new COVID-19 cases since Monday.
