San Luis Obispo County reports 3 new COVID-19 cases, bringing total to 110

San Luis Obispo County reported Saturday afternoon that there are three new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county, bumping up the total to 110 cases.

According to local health officials, out of the 110 cases, 87 patients have fully recovered, 20 are recovering at home and two are being treated in the ICU. There are no new deaths related to the virus in the county as of Saturday afternoon.

The County Office of Emergency Services broke down all of the confirmed 110 COVID-19 cases by city or town:

  • Paso Robles: 29
  • Atascadero: 22
  • Arroyo Grande: 15
  • San Luis Obispo (city): 10
  • Nipomo: 7
  • Morro Bay: 6
  • Templeton: 6
  • Other (cities or towns with less than five confirmed cases): 15

According to the county's data, the majority of confirmed COVID-19 cases are in north county and in among individuals between the ages of 18-49.

The San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department says it has conducted 662 COVID-19 tests, 45 of which had positive results. Private labs have detected 65 positive cases in the county, but local health officials do not know how many tests those private labs have conducted.

Health officials also say nearly 80 of the 110 cases were acquired through recent travel outside of San Luis Obispo County or person-to-person contact to a known positive case.
