Santa Barbara Co. adds 81 new COVID-19 cases

Santa Barbara County is reporting 81 new cases of COVID-19 over three days, bringing the county's total to 9,641 confirmed cases as of October 19.

Thirty-one new cases were added Saturday, 26 new cases were added Sunday, and 24 new cases were added Monday.

Twelve people are hospitalized, including three patients who are in the ICU.

Health officials say 9,401 people have recovered.

Santa Barbara County has had 119 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

  • Lompoc federal prison - 1,026
  • Lompoc - 910
  • Guadalupe and North County unincorporated areas (Sisquoc, Casmalia, Garey, Cuyama, New Cuyama) - 447
  • Orcutt - 357
  • Goleta - 272
  • Isla Vista - 293
  • Unincorporated Goleta Valley and Gaviota - 216
  • Carpinteria and South County unincorporated areas (Montecito, Summerland) - 210
  • Santa Ynez Valley (Solvang, Buellton, Santa Ynez, Los Alamos, Los Olivos, Ballard) - 177

The location of an additional 381 cases is listed as "pending."

Three free coronavirus testing sites are available to the community in Santa Maria, Buellton, and Goleta.

A pop-up testing clinic will be open October 23-24 and November 6-7 in Isla Vista.
