SLO County adds 12 new COVID-19 cases

San Luis Obispo County added 12 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the county's total to 3,047 confirmed cases as of September 3.

Nine people are hospitalized, including three patients who are in the ICU.

Another 394 people are recovering at home and 2,620 have recovered.

San Luis Obispo County has had 20 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

The location of three cases is listed as "under investigation," and another six are listed as "other," which includes communities with fewer than five cases. The Public Health Department is not identifying those locations.

COVID-19 tests are currently available to the public in Grover Beach, San Luis Obispo, and Nipomo.

The pop-up testing clinic in Nipomo will be open through September 3. It will move to the Morro Bay Veteran's Memorial Building starting September 8 and be open Tuesdays through Fridays through September 18.

The Grover Beach location will be closing on September 4. A new testing site at the South County Regional Center in Arroyo Grande will open on September 8.
