SLO County adds 13 new COVID-19 cases

Coronavirus-confirmed healthcare workers can return to work without being testing negative

San Luis Obispo County added 13 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the county's total to 3,755 confirmed cases as of October 6.

Three people are hospitalized. Another 184 people are recovering at home and 3,536 have recovered.

San Luis Obispo County has had 31 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

  • Nipomo - 358
  • California Men's Colony (inmates) - 292
  • Arroyo Grande - 220
  • Grover Beach - 163
  • Templeton - 129
  • Oceano - 127
  • San Miguel - 124
  • Pismo Beach - 65
  • Morro Bay - 62
  • Los Osos - 59
  • Shandon - 52
  • Cambria - 35
  • Santa Margarita - 31
  • Cal Poly (on-campus) - 27
  • Creston - 19
  • Cayucos - 18
  • Avila Beach - 7
  • San Simeon - 6

The location of four additional cases is under investigation, and another six are listed as "other," which includes communities with fewer than five cases. The Public Health Department is not identifying those locations.

COVID-19 tests are currently available to the public in Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and Morro Bay.
