SLO County adds 15 new COVID-19 cases

San Luis Obispo County added 15 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the county's total to 3,293 confirmed cases as of September 15.

Thirteen people are hospitalized, including four patients who are in the ICU.

Another 186 people are recovering at home and 3,066 have recovered.

San Luis Obispo County has had 26 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

  • Arroyo Grande - 202

  • Morro Bay - 50
  • Cambria - 33
  • Shandon - 33
  • Santa Margarita - 27
  • Cayucos - 17
  • Creston - 9
  • Cal Poly - 8
  • Avila Beach - 7
  • San Simeon - 6

The location of one case is listed as "under investigation," and another six are listed as "other," which includes communities with fewer than five cases. The Public Health Department is not identifying those locations.

COVID-19 tests are currently available to the public in Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo, and Morro Bay.

The pop-up testing clinic at the Morro Bay Veteran's Memorial Building will be open through September 18.
