San Luis Obispo County added 24 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the county's total to 3,779 confirmed cases as of October 7.
Three people are hospitalized. Another 191 people are recovering at home and 3,553 have recovered.
San Luis Obispo County has had 31 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

- Cal Poly (on-campus) - 28

- Avila Beach - 7
- San Simeon - 6
The location of eleven additional cases is under investigation, and another six are listed as "other," which includes communities with fewer than five cases. The Public Health Department is not identifying those locations.
COVID-19 tests are currently available to the public in Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and Morro Bay.
