SLO County adds 259 new COVID-19 cases over three days

San Luis Obispo County added 259 new cases of COVID-19 over three days, bringing the county's total to 7,711 confirmed cases as of December 14.

Ninety-seven new cases were added on Saturday, 80 were added on Sunday, and 82 were added on Monday.

Twenty-nine people are hospitalized, including eight patients who are in the ICU. Another 1,303 people are recovering at home and health officials say 6,325 people have recovered.

San Luis Obispo County has had 46 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

The location of 19 additional cases is under investigation, and another 10 are listed as "other," which includes communities with fewer than five cases. The Public Health Department is not identifying those locations.

Community COVID-19 testing sites are currently open to the public in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Grover Beach, and Nipomo.
