SLO County adds 64 new cases of COVID-19

San Luis Obispo County is reporting 64 new cases of COVID-19 over three days, bringing the county's total to 4,049 confirmed cases as of October 19.

Twenty new cases were added Saturday, 39 new cases were added Sunday, and five new cases were added Monday.

Two people are hospitalized. Another 182 people are recovering at home and health officials say 3,832 have recovered.

San Luis Obispo County has had 32 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

  • Morro Bay - 65
  • Los Osos - 63
  • Shandon - 55
  • Cal Poly (on-campus) - 41
  • Cambria - 36
  • Santa Margarita - 32
  • Creston - 22
  • Cayucos - 18
  • Avila Beach - 9
  • San Simeon - 6

The location of two additional cases is under investigation, and another six are listed as "other," which includes communities with fewer than five cases. The Public Health Department is not identifying those locations.

COVID-19 tests are currently available to the public in Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and Morro Bay.
