SLO County adds 66 new COVID-19 cases, surpassing 5,000 total cases

San Luis Obispo County added 66 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the county's total to 5,038 confirmed cases as of November 13.

According to the Public Health Department, five people are hospitalized, including two patients who are in the ICU. Another 582 are recovering at home and health officials say 4,416 people have recovered.

San Luis Obispo County has had 33 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

  • Arroyo Grande - 259
  • Cal Poly (on-campus) - 189

  • Morro Bay - 77
  • Pismo Beach - 71
  • Los Osos - 68
  • Shandon - 58
  • Cambria - 36
  • Santa Margarita - 38
  • Creston - 28
  • Atascadero State Hospital (patients) - 21
  • Cayucos - 19
  • Avila Beach - 11
  • San Simeon - 7

The location of 24 additional cases is under investigation, and another four are listed as "other," which includes communities with fewer than five cases. The Public Health Department is not identifying those locations.

Community COVID-19 testing sites are currently open to the public in Arroyo Grande, San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, and Morro Bay.
