The San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department says it has expanded its COVID-19 testing capacity.

Health officials are again urging anyone with coronavirus symptoms or those who may have been exposed to the virus to get tested at one of the county's community testing clinics.

COVID-19 tests are currently available to the public in Grover Beach, San Luis Obispo, and Atascadero.

The testing clinic in Atascadero will be open through August 20.

Appointments are required at all locations. Click here to schedule an appointment.

"If you think you have been exposed, stay home and make an appointment online to get tested at least five days after exposure. Please also stay home until you receive your test results. We don't want anyone unknowingly spreading COVID-19," said Dr. Penny Borenstein, County Health Officer.

Testing is also available to those who are high-risk, work in essential occupations, and live or work in a congregate care setting.

The tests are available at no cost to the individual. For those who have health insurance, information will be collected when registering for an appointment and no co-pay is required.
