San Luis Obispo County added 94 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, bringing the county's total to 17,605 confirmed cases as of January 29.
It's the second day this week that the daily case total was below 100. On Monday, 96 new cases were reported.
Health officials say 46 people are currently hospitalized. Another 1,949 people are recovering at home and health officials say 15,411 people have recovered.
San Luis Obispo County is reporting that 19 of the 38 licensed and staffed ICU beds in the county are currently occupied. Fourteen of them are taken by COVID-19 patients.
The county also added four new COVID-19 related deaths on Friday. There have been 168 total deaths attributed to the virus in SLO County to date.

The location of 61 additional cases is under investigation, and another nine are listed as "other," which includes communities with fewer than five cases. The Public Health Department is not identifying those locations.
Community COVID-19 testing sites are currently open to the public in San Luis Obispo, Paso Robles, Morro Bay, Grover Beach, and Nipomo.
