A third COVID-19-related death has been reported in Santa Barbara County.
Health officials Thursday said the person was a South County resident, over the age of 75, who had underlying health conditions and was on Hospice care.
Additionally, 20 new cases were reported in the county, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the county to 354.
Eight of the 20 new cases are related to the outbreak at the Lompoc prison, health officials said, where more than 68 inmates and 22 staff have tested positive.
Thirty-nine people remain hospitalized with 14 of them in the ICU. One hundred and 59 people are recovering at home and 137 have full recovered.
This is a developing story and will be updated as information becomes available.
