Veterans in San Luis Obispo took the opportunity to get tested for covid-19 Friday.
They stopped by the San Luis Obispo Veteran's Hall to test themselves.
A nurse guided them as they self-administered a test.
With possible gatherings coming up for the holidays, some wanted to make sure they were clear of the virus.
"I think it's a great opportunity for everybody to come down and get tested just to be sure be safe and be safe with everybody around you,” said army veteran Randy Arseneauus.
More than a hundred veterans turned out.
The county will hold another pop-up covid-19 testing location on Sunday afternoon at the Nipomo Senior Center.
