Osborne leading in Lompoc mayoral race

Two candidates are running for mayor of Lompoc.

Current mayor Jenelle Osborne is being challenged by city council member Victor Vega this November.

As of 12:47 a.m. Wednesday, incumbent Osborne is in the lead with 57% of the votes while her challenger has 43%.

There are also two city council seats up for grabs this election.

In District 1, Gilda Cordova is running uncontested.

In District 4, Jeremy Ball has taken the lead with 1,391 votes, Jim Mosby has 911 votes.
