With the polls closed on election night, results are showing John Peschong with a lead over Stephanie Shakofsky in the race for San Luis Obispo County District 1 Supervisor.
Peschong, the incumbent, was elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2016. He has 8,702 votes.
His challenger, Shakofsky, is a hydrologist and vineyard owner. She has 4,197 votes.
District 1 includes Paso Robles, Templeton, San Miguel, and Shandon. The district's boundaries extend from the Monterey County line to the north, the Kern County line to the east, Templeton to the south, and the mountain range that includes Adelaide and York Mountain to the west.
