An Arroyo Grande man out on bail is now back behind bars, facing new charges.

Arroyo Grande police say they stopped the driver of a pickup late Tuesday night for a vehicle code violation on the 100 block of S. Halcyon Road.

Officers say they learned the driver was currently out on parole and conducted a search of his vehicle.

With the help of a Pismo Beach police K9, officers say they found approximately two ounces of methamphetamine, about 13 grams of heroin packaged for sale and other evidence inside the truck leading them to believe Aaron Charles Kirby was selling narcotics.

The 42-year-old was taken back into custody and faces new drug and other related charges.

Police say he Kirby was arrested in July for other narcotics sales-related offenses and was awaiting court proceedings at the time of his latest arrest.

His bail is set at $100,000, jail logs show.
