Firefighters responded to a brush fire on Gaviota Peak Friday afternoon.
It was reported at about 1:15 p.m. just off the Gaviota Peak trailhead.
Santa Barbara County Fire officials say crews arrived to find the fire burning in heavy vegetation. They were reportedly able to stop the forward progress of the fire at an estimated 2-3 acres.
Fire officials say the cause of the fire is unknown.
