A fire burned approximately six acres of grass west of Santa Maria on Friday afternoon.
It was first reported shortly before 1:30 p.m. in the area of Black Road and Highway 1 near the community of Tanglewood.
Santa Barbara County Fire officials say no structures were ever threatened and no evacuations were ordered as a result of the fire.
The cause is reportedly under investigation.
