Bob Busick has been set up in the parking lot at the Kmart in Atascadero for the past few days, loading up a U-Haul trailer with donations for Camp Fire victims.

Busick’s son lives in Chico and has been working with the people who were displaced by the devastating fire, so he feels a personal connection to the tragedy.

The use of the trailer itself was donated. Busick is hoping to fill it up with items including gift cards, men’s and women’s underwear, diapers, socks, blankets, flashlights, batteries, women’s personal hygiene products, and plus-size clothing.

Busick will be collecting donations until 7 p.m. on Thursday and again until 7 p.m. on Friday. He plans to drive up to Butte County with a full trailer on Saturday morning.
