UPDATE (12:26 p.m.) – CAL FIRE says forward progress of the Crestview Fire near San Miguel has been stopped at 11 acres.
Firefighters are expected to remain on scene for the next few hours mopping up hot spots.
UPDATE (12:12 p.m.) – CAL FIRE says the Crestview Fire has burned about six acres and firefighters are making good progress on containment.

(11:49 a.m.) – Firefighters were responding to a vegetation fire in the San Miguel area late Friday morning.
The fire was reported at around 11:30 a.m. and has been named the Crestview Fire.
CAL FIRE says the fire has burned about five acres at a moderate rate of spread.
