Firefighters extinguished a small vegetation fire that broke out in the Santa Ynez Valley on Wednesday.
It was first reported at about 11 a.m. in the 1200 block of Alamo Pintado Rd.
Santa Barbara County Fire officials say crews arrived to find the fire burning in light grass in a somewhat rugged canyon. However, the fire was accessible and surrounded on three sides by vineyards, which officials say aided firefighters’ efforts.
Crews were able to contain the at less than 1/2 acre.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
