People in northern San Luis Obispo County may notice smoke from a fire that broke out Wednesday afternoon at Camp Roberts.
The fire reportedly started in a training area on the California National Guard base and was burning in grass at a moderate rate of spread.
According to the Camp Roberts Installation Services Facebook page, troops from the 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team arrived at the base this week for two weeks of annual training.
This is a developing story and will be updated with new information as it becomes available.
