(2:35 p.m.) - One person was hurt in a crash along Harris Grade Road on Thursday.

It happened shortly after 1 p.m. about halfway between Lompoc and Highway 101.

According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, crews arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle about 600 feet down an embankment off the side of the road.

Fire officials say the driver, who was the only person in the car, suffered moderate injuries. They say it took extensive extrication efforts to remove the driver because the vehicle was in an unstable position.
