Two people from Long Beach are facing identity theft-related charges in Santa Barbara.

Last month, police say they were contacted by a resident who reported the theft of a credit card from his mail. A suspect was reportedly captured on the resident's home surveillance camera.

Police say they were able to determine that the suspect used the stolen credit card as well as a second victim's identity to purchase a high-end vehicle at a local car dealership.

Investigators identified Long Beach residents Michael Flitterman and Alexandra Pearl as the suspects in this case. Police say the two are experienced identity thieves.

During the service of a search warrant, detectives say they found tools used to manufacture counterfeit IDs, credit cards, checks and other documents, and identified additional identity theft victims.

Flitterman and Pearl were arrested.
