A driver crashed their car into “POSH” jewelry store located in the Loreta Plaza Shopping Center in Santa Barbara.
At approximately 1:15 p.m. Wednesday Santa Barbara City Fire responded to reports of a vehicle driving into a structure.
Fire officials say an elderly woman drove over a concrete parking stop and crashed into “POSH” jewelry store.
The vehicle collided with the front wall of the business and caused minor damage.
Officials say an off-duty firefighter was having lunch on the patio approximately 10 feet from where the woman crashed her vehicle. Following the crash, the off-duty firefighter assessed the situation, checking on the driver and the passenger and found neither of them were injured.
No other bystanders were injured.
Santa Barbara Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
