Paso Robles has been named one of “The 25 coolest towns in America: 2018” by Matador Network.

The travel website looked at unique towns across the United States with populations under 100,000.

The website said these smaller towns usually don’t get “nearly the attention they deserve.”

Paso Robles came in 13 on the list.

The list writers point out that Paso Robles is near the ocean, has amazing food, beer and of course, wine.

“In stark contrast to the sometimes-stuffy, the Instagram-filtered vibe of Napa, this quirky little town on the Central Coast is everything one looks for in a California wine country getaway,” the site said.

Le Vigne Winery, Chronic Cellars, Joe’s Place and Thomas Hill Organics were featured as some places that make Paso Robles unique.

The list also points out some activities visitors can take part in like driving up to Fiscalini Ranch Preserve.

The only other California city on the list is Santa Cruz, coming in at number 22 on the list
