UPDATE (9:30 p.m.) – Santa Barbara police say David Michael Ny.
Police announced around 9:30 p.m. Friday that he had been found safe and unharmed.
No other details were released.
Santa Barbara police are asking for the public’s help to be on the lookout for a missing man who is considered at-risk.
David Michael Ny, 73, was last seen at about 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4 at Villa Santa Barbara, an assisted living facility located at 227 E. Anapamu St. in Santa Barbara.
Police say Ny recently moved from Fresno. His son says Ny is in good shape physically and frequently takes walks at Alameda Park, Unity Church, and the YMCA.
Ny is described as 5’11” tall and 150 pounds with blue eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a short-sleeved light blue UCLA shirt, tan shorts, black socks, and black shoes.
Anyone who sees Ny is urged to contact the Santa Barbara Police Department.
