CAL FIRE is hosting a Fire Safety Fair Saturday in San Luis Obispo to give people tips on what to do when there is a fire.
The event is from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Rite Aid parking lot, 1130 Los Osos Valley Road.
Attendees can get a tour of Medic Fire Engines, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office cars, meet CAL FIRE staff and make friends with Sparky the Fire Dog and Smokey the Bear.
Firefighters will be offering demonstrations in car stabilization, lifting an airbag device, extinguishing fire plans and giving a free training in hands-only CPR.
Central Coast Tacos Catering Service will provide fresh tacos, nachos and quesadillas.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Alisa Ann Ruch Foundation.
