The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to a head-on car crash on Highway 1 at Brown Road in Santa Maria Saturday morning.
The fire departments Public Information Officer Dave Zaniboni said they responded to the crash at 6:17 a.m. He said two cars were involved in the crash. Each car had one person inside.
Zaniboni said a man driving one of the cars had serious injuries and was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in a CALSTAR helicopter. The other driver was not injured.
The Santa Barbara’s Sheriff’s Office, CALSTAR and CHP responded to the incident.
