Pismo Beach’s Planning Commission will meet Tuesday night to decide whether to revoke the development permits for the old Alex BBQ building.
Last month, the entire restaurant was torn down.
The city says the new owners, Compass Health, were only permitted to demolish a portion of the building.
Alex’s closed its doors in 2014 after operating in Shell Beach for decades.
Compass Health, which operates several other restaurants in San Luis Obispo County, reportedly planned to renovate the old building and bring in a new restaurant.
The Planning Commission will meet at 6 p.m. at the City Council Chamber, located at 760 Mattie Road in Pismo Beach.
