A memorial service was held Wednesday evening for a Cal Poly student who was killed in a motorcycle crash over the weekend.

First-year computer engineering student, Jordan Grant was killed on Sunday.

Students and friends of the 18-year-old remembered him and shared memories at the University Union Plaza.

The deadly crash happened on Highway 101 near El Campo Road just outside Arroyo Grande.

CHP investigators say a BMW sedan made an unsafe left turn in front of the motorcycle, driven by Grant.

The motorcycle slid into the side of the BMW, killing Grant.

Counseling services are available to Cal Poly students 24-hours a day.
