The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is hosting a walk to fight suicide Saturday at 10 a.m. in San Luis Obispo.
The organization said anyone who walks will join the effort of thousands of people to raise awareness and money to allow the AFSP to invest in new research and create more educational programs.
The Out of the Darkness Walk to Fight Suicide starts at Mission Plaza in Downtown San Luis Obispo. The walk is 1.35 miles.
Event check-in starts at 8:45 a.m. at Mission Plaza.
