The Righetti High School drama department will transform its Black Box Theater into a haunted house for their first annual Halloween thrill this month.
The drama class will make their haunted house debut, featuring frights and spooks for all ages. Each room takes visitors to another level of scary, with the element of storytelling brought into each scene.
Drawing from similar play elements, the drama students will take visitors along for the ride in a more interactive version of what the typical production creates.
“I want everyone to get a sense of set design, directing, acting—every aspect of theater is basically put into this and I also want everyone who comes to see it to have a fun, yet thrilling experience,” said Karma Stodola, a junior at Righetti High School.
The haunted house will be open for tours on Oct. 19, 20, 27 and 28. Kid-friendly tours will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and evening tours will go on from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tours cost $5 as a flat rate.
