A man was taken to the hospital Wednesday after police say he crashed into a Lompoc church.
It happened at about 2:15 p.m. at Grace Temple Baptist Church at the intersection of South H St. and East Cypress Ave.
Police say Tommy Dodson hit numerous parked cars with his vehicle before crashing into the church and trying to run away.
He was reportedly airlifted to an area hospital for treatment of injuries and is expected to be charged with hit and run.
