Atascadero man takes Halloween home decorations to the extreme

The Central Coast is home to a lot of Halloween displays, but an Atascadero man is taking it to another level.

The homeowner at 7720 Cortez Avenue is inviting people to drive by anytime to see his “Spooktacular Lights and Sights” display.

He has a lot of lights and props that are sure to turn heads.

“I want to bring back the Halloween spirit. It seems like it’s kind of faded away. You see a lot of displays for Christmas, you see a lot of displays at Easter and whatnot, but it seems like nobody thinks about Halloween like our memories as kids when we had Halloween,” said Mark J. Russo, who created the display.

Live actors and plenty of candy will be at the home on Halloween.

The display is mostly geared towards younger kids, but everyone is invited.

Russo says he started setting up the display in early September.
