High school seniors from across the Central Coast learned more about the scholarship opportunities available to them through Cuesta College at the fifth annual Promise Day on Friday.
More than 800 students from the area visited the college campus to experience what education after high school looks like. Cuesta hosted tours for the students to explore the different areas of the school, as well as offered the chance to interact with faculty and staff.
Promise Day also teaches those in attendance about the Promise Scholarship, which offers recent San Luis Obispo County graduates the chance to attend Cuesta for two years fee-free.
Through the Promise program, almost 3,000 students in the area have received financial aid.
