The California Highway Patrol has identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash last week near Nipomo Regional Park as Vonna York, 49.

Officers say York, of Arroyo Grande, was trying to turn left onto Osage St. from Camino Caballo when, for unknown reasons, she lost control and veered off the road Thursday evening.

The motorcycle went through bushes and hit a wooden fence and stone wall, according to officers, who say the York was ejected and hit a tree.

She was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Investigators are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call the CHP’s San Luis Obispo area office at (805) 594-8700.
